Hello! My name is Debs, and I get to curate the wonderful items we sell in our small eco-friendly gift shop in the picturesque town of Padstow, Cornwall.
You may wonder why the funny name for our gift shop?
Well we named our shop “Dydh Da” because it means “hello” or “good day” in Cornish, and that’s what you are sure to have when you visit us!
We also thought it was a rather apt name for a store full of Cornish made gifts and that specialises in providing locally sourced goods. Our gift shop is full of unique and beautiful items and gifts, made with love, by local craftsmen and women so what better than to showcase the Cornish language too!
Who makes gifts in our shop?
We currently stock items from over 35 local creatives aged between 11 years old and 89 years young – so there is definitely something for everyone here and a wide selection of styles and vibes.
What do we sell in our gift shop?
Our makers create a variety of gifts and homeware. We have jewellery, leather goods, childrens clothing, candles, handmade toys, crochet clothing, greetings cards, resin art, paintings and so much more.
We also have a growing selection of incense and wax burners, as well as some alternative spiritual goodies, and of course crystals and sage should you need it.
Come back soon to see what’s new.
I’m looking forward to showing you some of the wonderful things we sell, as well as places to go on your visit to Cornwall in this blog.
